Setting & Props
The setting always has this dirty feel. It is placed in the past somwhere in hispanic territory because they are speaking spanish. It is in a forest and then transports to a heaven- like place
Costumes
The costumes were very simple, but dated to the past. All of the colors were dull and worn away. When she dies there is a vibrant color red shoes. The dull costumes represent the death that has occured.
Facial Expressions & Body Language
At first the girl and the woman are both devastated because they have sad and defeated looks on their faces. The woman's body language is also very sad because she is hunched over, touching the little girl while she is in pain. The little girls face expresses fear because her eyes are wide ope and her mouth is open working hard to catch her breath.
Lighting/Color
While this girl is dying there is almost a blue undertone. The light is very cold and expresses a sad undertone. when she gets a glimpse of heaven the light and bright and golden. Everyone and gold and red pouring out hope which is the complete opposite of the world she is living in.
Positioning of Characters Within Frame/Camera Angles
The scene starts out with a medium shot then moves into an extreme close up of her bloody hand. Then, moves to a close up of the woman's face to show her emotion (sad). After the girl sees a glimpse of heaven, it transitions to a high angle shot to show the amazing gold palace. Next, a close-up of the girls face to show how excited she is about the gold palace. when she enters the gold palace there is also a close up of her red shoes. The Girl and woman were in an intimate distance/position because they knew each other very well.
